Play Where the Pros Play: Cincinnati Open Sporting Club Launches Tennis, Pickleball Programming
Whether you’ve never picked up a racquet or you’re looking to sharpen your game on championship-caliber courts, the Cincinnati Open Sporting Club has a program for you. Located at the Lindner Family Tennis Center, home of the Cincinnati Open and the largest racquet sports complex in the Midwest, the Sporting Club is now offering a full slate of adult programming, kid’s programs and summer camps for all skill levels.
Here’s a look at everything now available.
Tennis Programs
For Adults
The Sporting Club’s adult tennis programming covers every stage of the game, from first-time players to seasoned competitors.
Try Tennis Cincy – Free for Beginners
Not sure if tennis is for you? Try it for free. Try Tennis Cincy is a no-cost clinic open to adults 18 and up for members and non-members alike. Sessions are held on Saturdays, March 21, April 25 and May 23 from 12:30–1:30 p.m. No experience necessary.
ACE Program – Beginner & Intermediate
The ACE Program is designed to get players match-ready. Beginners will master stroke production, court positioning and match play fundamentals, while intermediate players sharpen their skills with expert coaches in preparation for team and social play. Members pay $65/month; non-members pay $85/month.
Cardio Tennis – All Levels
Prefer a workout with your tennis? Cardio Tennis combines high-intensity drills with dynamic court movement to elevate your heart rate while building your game. Sessions run Tuesdays and Saturdays from 9–10 a.m. Members: $65/month (up to 8 sessions); non-members: $85/month.
Drill and Play – Intermediate, Advanced & Career Combo
Drilling with a pro followed by live match play, this format is one of the most effective ways to develop real-game skills fast. Intermediate and advanced sessions are held Wednesdays, while the popular Career Combo (co-ed drills and pro-run match play) meets Thursdays at 7 p.m. Members: $100/month (up to 5 sessions); non-members: $120/month.
Cincy League – 3.0–4.5 and 4.5+
Ready for competitive match play? The Sporting Club pros will place you at the right level for in-house organized play. Cincy League runs Fridays from 9–10:30 a.m. Members: $65/month; non-members: $85/month.
For Kids
Try Tennis Cincy Kids – Free for Beginners (Ages 5–16)
Give your child the gift of a free first lesson. Try Tennis Cincy Kids is a one-day trial program open to the community, held Saturdays on March 21, April 25 and May 23 from 12:30–1:30 p.m. Free for members and non-members.
Little Aces – Ages 3–5
Tennis starts earlier than you think. Little Aces introduces the very youngest players to the game through imaginative play, movement and kid-sized equipment, building coordination and confidence in a supportive environment. Held Saturdays from 12:30–1:30 p.m. $50/month for 4 sessions (members and non-members).
Youth Intro to Tennis – Ages 5–16
The Intro to Tennis program uses the ROGY progression system (Red, Orange, Green, Yellow) to match each junior player to the right stage of development, building foundational skills and confidence along the way. Classes meet Mondays from 5:30–6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 12:30–1:30 p.m. $100/month (up to 8 sessions).
Pickleball Programs
The Sporting Club offers pickleball programming across four indoor and six outdoor courts, with options for beginners, competitive players and kids.
Try Pickle Cincy – Free for Beginner Adults
Curious about pickleball? Try it for free. Try Pickle Cincy is a no-cost beginner clinic for adults, open to members and non-members. Sessions are scheduled for Saturday, April 11 and Saturday, May 23 from 2:30–3:30 p.m.
ACE Program – Beginner & Intermediate
New to pickleball or looking to get ready for team play? The Pickleball ACE Program builds the skills you need for social and competitive play. Sessions meet Sundays from 2–3 p.m. and Mondays from 9–10 a.m. Members: $65/month (up to 8 sessions); non-members: $85/month.
Drill and Play – All Levels
Spend 30 minutes drilling with a certified pickleball pro, then put those skills immediately to work with 30 minutes of live play. Offered Mondays from 10–11 a.m. Members: $65/month (up to 5 sessions); non-members: $85/month.
Cincy League – All Levels
In-house organized match play at the right level for you. The Sporting Club pros will help place players appropriately. Cincy League Pickleball meets Thursdays from 9–10:30 a.m. Members: $65/month (up to 5 sessions); non-members: $85/month.
Open Play – All Levels
Drop in and play. Open Play offers up to two hours of pickleball with guaranteed games and coaching staff who organize sessions by level. Available daily (times vary). Members: $7/session; non-members: $20/session.
Junior Pickleball – Ages 5–10 and 11+
Kids can learn pickleball from a certified coach through drills, games and personalized instruction. All ability levels are welcome, with separate sessions for ages 5–10 (Saturdays, 9–10 a.m.) and 11+ (Fridays, 4–5 p.m.). Members: $65/month (up to 4 sessions); non-members: $85/month.
Membership & Court Access
All programming is open to both members and non-members, though members enjoy discounted rates, priority court booking and free equipment rentals. Membership options include:
- Tennis Membership: Individual $600/year | Family $820/year
- Pickleball Membership: Individual $500/year | Family $680/year
- Padel Membership: Individual $550/year
- Sporting Club Membership (Tennis + Pickleball + Padel): $1,485/year
- Young Professional Membership (under 25): $1,336/year
Non-members can reserve outdoor tennis or pickleball courts for $15/hour on a same-day basis. Indoor tennis courts are available to non-members at $25/hour; indoor pickleball courts are reserved for members only.
Courts are open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
