Cincinnati Open Sporting Club and Cincinnati Tennis Foundation celebrate seniors with College Signing Day
An evening full of celebration, emotion and pride as the Cincinnati Open Sporting Club and Cincinnati Tennis Foundation honored nine seniors from their Junior Academy who are continuing their tennis journey at the collegiate level. Family, friends and other junior academy students gathered to celebrate the hard work and dedication of the soon-to-be college players.
We couldn’t be prouder, and we can’t wait to see what they accomplish next.
Matt Dektas, Cincinnati Open Sporting Club and CTF Junior Academy Director
All nine seniors participated in CTF’s Junior Academy at the Sporting Club, a program designed to grow players into life champions through on-court and off-court development. Offering individual and group training sessions, the Academy provides athletes with strength training, college guidance and lasting friendships.
After the ceremonial signing, recognizing the students’ leadership and commitment both on and off the court, all of the seniors walked through the iconic Cincinnati Open player tunnel on to Center Court. Stepping on to the same court as the world’s best tennis players, they shared a special moment with their family and captured photos.
“This group of athletes is truly something special,” said Matt Dektas, Director of the Cincinnati Tennis Foundation. Their dedication and hard work both on and off the court have led them to this moment. We couldn’t be prouder, and we can’t wait to see what they accomplish next.”
